Agreed, a great song. I like the acoustic intro and the last bit the best. Apparently that little ditty at the beginning was supposed to be the end of the previous track, "Requiem," but when they got it published the person who divided the tracks screwed up and cut it in the wrong place. Oh well, it still works as an intro! |

Perhaps it is also referring to the season of Autumn as being somehow evil or terrifying, since during the fall a lot of living things die. So the Fall is basically the season of death, cold, and rot. |

I hate to say it, Orgy has really fucked up with their latest album. Somehow they thought they would be better if they became just like every other generic nu metal band and replaced their cool dreamy lyrics with whiny teenage angst. I used to be a die-hard fan, but I have to say, this stuff is not really worth my time. I guess I'm still an orgy fan, but only of that once-great trippy band that has ceased to be. |

In fact, when he says "when you're slipping in and out of time,/who are you to decide,/which one of us winds up broken, for a lifetime..." he probably means the rival model is having trouble keeping up with the fashion trends (slipping in and out of time) but is more popular than the singer, who considers themself a better model or pop star. Since Jay is a fashion model anyway, it makes perfect sense! |

that was mostly true of candyass. they said with vapor transmission nearly all the songs were inspired by people they knew. but i still feel like most of the songs on candyass at least have some sort of subject to tie the seemingly random lyrics together. i think this song is maybe about conformity, but also about co-dependancy, being so obsessed with another person that you lose a sense of your own self. |

This song's real title is "Bubbles", it's track 3 on Steal This Album. BTW, chupacabra in Spanish means "goat sucker." They are an urban legend in Mexico, and supposedly they are huge vampiric bat things that have long hind legs and hop as well as fly, and prey on animals and sometimes people. Their most frequent victims are reportedly goats, hence the name. Not that I believe it, but it makes a good story, and that's all that matters :-D |

Um, I heard a lot of you say stuff about how "science is a religion." Let me tell you something: you are wrong. Religion is generally a set of spiritual teachings and philosophies that help us be nice and kind people in our day-to-day lives. Some people need this to have meaning in their life, some people don't. Regardless, everyone needs some kind of faith in something, be it science, religion, themselves, other people, whatever, or else they cannot function. Science is a completely different thing. Its purpose is to explain by careful experimentation, the fundamental laws of the Universe. It is a tool, nothing more. It can be used to pollute the planet, kill people, heal the sick, save the planet, educate people, the list goes on and on. It is simply an experimental method that is open to new information, unlike many dogmatic explanations of the way things work (IE the judeo/islamic/christian creation story) which are not based on any known facts. Science and religion are NOT mutually exclusive when used properly, they perform different functions in society! |

Probably I am wrong, but it seems to be about people spending all their time plugged into the virtual world of computers, specifically video/computer games, which are ficticious worlds that people sometimes get sucked into completely (can you say, EVERQUEST, *cough cough*!). Maybe it's about someone who has lost touch with reality and is glued to the screen 24 hours a day. |
