| okay, i think this song, the album is THE most influencial hardcore album of all time. it WAS dying, but remnev have brought it kicking and screaming back to life. as far as bands like poison the well, i don't agree with PoisonTheWells, some of them.... yes... but as a band that helped start the scene, poison the well are still great in my opinion. if you listen to the new album, 90% of the songs are not love songs. at any rate, these guys are amazing. i believe in giving credit where credit is due. and bands like poison the well, who's music may be leaving the hardcore staple of sound, still get a big nod. | okay, i have a few ideas about this song. my main thought is that this whole album, is kind of a love story with claudio and newo, with action, and despair and everything else going on in these two characters lives. i think this song, is about him reflecting on his relationship with newo and how he misses her. she waited for him to return at the end of the second stage turbine blade... and the call came in. and claudio did return to her. and she had lost hope because of "junesong provision". saying he's not comming home. and now his relationship with newo has gone down the tubes after everthing that happened in the velourium camper 1, 2 and 3, and he wants her back. at the end of the song, he realizes that he can't dwell on it. and he has to get back to work. the whole "your father's dead...." part is him reliving the realization that his father has died, and now claudio has to try his best to pretect everyone in his fathers name. so pray for them all.... | |

i've seen them play this song live twice now, and it's so touching, so emotional. i'm gunna say that this song, from what i hear, is definately about suicide. or not commiting rather. i've felt this way before, as so many people i'm sure have. you ponder suicide, but if you did go through with it, and you did kill yourself, you've let them win. and no matter how much the pain, you have to grind your teeth and bere through it all. hey "majour idiot" the clap isn't a clap at all, it's a slap. ross robinson is famous for violent acts to piss off the people while recording to get a more pissed off heartfelt aggresion on the song. ross slapped daryl here, he threw a full can of coke at rob flynn, he three a flower complete with post at slipknots clown...ect... they left the smack on the track because it sound fuckin awesome! |
