This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. i see this song as a continuation of " trephination ". i think in that song, he goes through his life since the time period of his molestation and this song is really how he's doing now as a grown adult. and how he's tried to move on, but he can't forget it at all. i think in a way this album is all about rob's life... wicked album, wicked band.
