| Rage Against the Machine – I'm Housin' (EPMD cover) Lyrics

FutureFascist, the song is about a drug deal gone bad, or something attemtpedly being stolen. Especially the first verse. "I'm Housin'" refers to the fact he's carrying a gun. Drop The Bomb, would be pullin the trigger/firing. |

This explains a situation I went through. I had a long time friend who was a girl. It was weird, we'd be cool and all, hang out do stuff, but I was only really her friend between her dating other guys. Any, Something made her like me again, and we went all the way for like the third time and then she says she shouldn't have done that. I guess she said that since she was engaged to be married when we did that. Now shes pregnant. So that alone made things very easy. Finally stopped talking to me about a month into her pregnancy. Thank god! |

I don't mean to be a smarty-pants, but 187 is a murder/death/kill, not 138 or 108. |

This is sad, no comments on this awesome song? Well, I just have to say Marvin Gaye is a lyrical genious. His voice is near perfect. It's sad we, the world, had too loose such a talented person. |

| Nine Inch Nails – Something I Can Never Have Lyrics

Seriously, I've never really listened to NIN before but I owned The Downward Spiral since I was 13 or so, and I came across it after I had a bad experience with this girl who rejected me. And I must say, now that I am older and can really "listen" to music, Trent is a lyrical god. The band really makes his words just so great. Probably the best underrated band I know of. Truely awesome, everything they do. |

Most people here see the song as depressing, which it is. But I like listening to it. Recently, I was turned down by a girl who gave me all the right signals and all, but she didn't feel the same. I listened to this song after that and it just felt good to listen to it. Now, it kind of picks me up. I don't know why, but I feel somewhat happier after listening to it. |

I thought danz0r was full of shit, but you can hear someone clearly speaking in the background. It's not to clear, but you can hear "Dear Mom, Dad, this is the hardest part... I'm sorry" That's all I can make out. And the I'm Sorry part is near the end before the 3rd verse. It may be about cocaine, but it works for the relationship aspect too, which is what I believe it's about. |

Vindicator, though I believe your Spawn connection, I think the song can be taken literally about life and love. It's just an awesome song either way you look at it. |

I don't know if this the meaning Ozzy intended, but I think it's kind of about how the elder public don't like new things, such as rock and roll. But I really just wanted to post because I think this song just sounds great. I really like the guitar parts. |

WOW! What a song. I fell in love with it when I first heard it. Gavin has a great voice. I have always liked Bush. I just hope this is only a side project and that Bush can continue on even without the founding guitarist that left. Just a kick ass song!!! |

| Guns N' Roses – Mr. Brownstone Lyrics

MasterofPuppets, even though you are a Metallica Fan which makes you okay in my book, you are off on the drug reference a little. Brownstone is slang for cocaine. A certain type of cocaine that is produced in Mexico I believe. When border agents stopped the flow, police in L.A. still found brown cocaine and wondered why. It was because dealers who made cocaine locally dyed it brown so that the addicts who came to love cocaine and wouldn't buy white cocaine would get their cocaine because it was the brown color they became to love and wouldn't do anything else. |

Poison Pale is right. It's from an idea of the film THX-1138. That is the sign of a person in a future world who has a number and not a name. Go watch the movie, it's quite good. Since THX-1138 would be to hard to sing, they shortened it to 138. Poison is exactly correct in this case. I also believe that Glenn was just pissed about it. |
