@[Ashrugged:53729] It’s about the truth that we and everything are all one.
Rugged individualism is self-delusion. |

It’s from the album Muscle of Love. The album cover was a cardboard box, stamped. “Do not bend.” “Avoid excessive heat.” It’s definitely about the penis. |

Premetal; doomy fantasy lyrics, sung from a witness perspective. Massive riff. Big drums out of time, adding to sense of brewing chaos. The album is far more than an answer to Peppers. |

| The Who – Gettin' in Tune Lyrics

Like Bargain, it’s a love song to God. The path is straight and narrow. It can’t be understood through words and concepts. It’s experiential, harmonizing one’s consciousness with the ultimate consciousness and finding it’s all the same consciousness. It’s getting in tune. Uni-verse = one song. A spaciousness, love, peace and rising joy are in that light, reflected in the music of the track. It’s sung with a naked, humble longing. He’s been searching a long time. He’s finally got a glimpse and knows he’s on the path. His voice goes from introspective separateness to dancing along with the celebratory finish. |

As others have said, “cross-eyed” is a misfocus. Cross-eyed” is also eyes of crosses, which can mean dead, in this case spiritually, or seeing the world through a Christian lens, which in this case is distorted. |

Think of “nothing” as “nothingness.” If you let life’s worries go, you have nothingness, or rather, simply being. This beingness is where happiness is, at least for the moment. |

It’s done as a waltz; which conjures a country wedding dance he doesn’t want to do. The waltz also gives the song its drunken feel. The common 4/4 time would have been too stable to paint the same picture. |

@[thepipe:50072] yours is very much my take on the song. I’ll add that the blowing seeds float happily through the air, childlike, without a care. Musically, the song ends with the seeds floating away, with the high happy voices, cascading notes like seeds leaving one by one and drums that tumble and play off beat, suggesting a dissolving. All dissolves into bliss. |

| Donovan – Wear Your Love Like Heaven Lyrics

The colors represent all of the races of people, which are in reality expressions of the one loving God. The song concludes that when we see race through God’s eyes, we are one human race. One day, when we finally have this perspective of God and love, all will be free, which is heaven on earth. |
