skankin is right. it's not even about the music. i love punk music like none other, and that goes for the distillers too, but that doesn't make me "punk." it's about unity. and you know what? punk unity has gone way down. i was thinking about going to a distillers show, but when i told one of my friends, she said "i wouldn't go if i were you" of course, i asked why. she said people would think i am a poser because of the way i dress. wtf? it's not about image. or mtv or what bands you listen to. it's an attitude, a way of thinking. |
