Flogging Molly – Whistles The Wind Lyrics 2 years ago
@[Utilitarian54:46689] I think it's actually about comparative retrospection. He has found success and "glory" in his career and in his life, while those faces and places from his past have crashed. He feels alone in his isolation, unable to appreciate the present because of the current state of the faces and places of his past. Similar to the meaning of Johnny Cash - Hurt.

His face lacks "color" meaning even though he is in a good place, the faces and places of his past are not, and he would trade his life to be back where he belongs, where the wind is sweeping him. I think this song speaks to the true source of happiness being a sense of home and of family, and that chasing "glory" will only leave you isolated and colorless.

@[FloggingMollyFan4life:46686] I tried to submit changes, but it says that the original poster needs to approve them. Pathetic. This is so horribly offensive it isn't even funny.

"The beauty in life, where's it gone?"

Flogging Molly are NOT anti-religious, this is a horribly offensive and huge mistake to make. Give your ears a cleaning buddy!
