Dio – All The Fools Sailed Away Lyrics 2 years ago
@[truth311:47812] tis not if you accept Jesus at the end; yes, Jesus is the redeemer, king of kings and lord. but you must try to live without sin: the doors will never open to the child without an ounce of sin; meaning the doors of hell.. Jesus give you anew; you have to change for the better.. an be sinless( to the best of our ability) but I like your comment. it's mostly truthful I feel.

Dio – All The Fools Sailed Away Lyrics 2 years ago
REMEMBER DIO WAS CATHOLIC; this song is directly about sin. he reveals the entire idea of this song at the end.. it's not about "persecution" of people's or some crazy ideology or whatever.. ITS ABOUT: THE DOORS WILL NEVER OPEN TO A CHILD WITHOUT AND OUNCE OF SIN.. THAT DOOR, IS THE DOOR TO HELL... SAIL AWAY TO FIND OUT WHATS IN THOSE DOORS AND YOULL NEVER COME BACK TO THE GARDEN OF EDEN, IT REGARDING THE APPLE OF EVE.. listen to the song, remember the "dio hand sign" is made from his catholic grandmother (who he said he would never taint the image of) she would make the sign at him to mean I'm watching; he points it up to mean: "God is watching." -RR

Dio – The Man Who Would Be King Lyrics 2 years ago
So, this song has mutiple parts, the song is really referencing the beginning question: do angels really sing for the man would would be king? (which our question as the listener is "who is the the man who would be king; Jesus? (the true king of kings, or those in power, and have kingship/poltical power) which he then kinda answers with: the "we laugh at your religion, we do this for the man who would be king?" then he continues the question by asking: 'is the devil the man who would be king' (assuming after seeing the state of this world that this man brought) which then leads into part 3 which is some war state that says he forgets the question and just goes to war.. for he hasn't found the time.. Ronnie james DIO IS the best song writer that people have began to over look entirely.. May his legend continue forever in the hearts of those who hear the true meanings of his songs.. -RR

Heaven & Hell – Follow the Tears Lyrics 3 years ago
i created this account just for this: I think this song AND Double The Pain are both some underlying understanding Ronnie had about his own pain from the cancer.. he knew something was up now, I've read he wasn't diagnosed until December of 09 but he must be been in pain while writing and probably pushed it off it complete his dream but noted that his pain and suffering would probably kill him... btw none of this is fact, just speculation.. but I think 'follow the tears' mean follow the rain, "it's everywhere" because Ronnie's going to heaven.. for future generations listening, those looking for him, when he's gone.. Dio is beyond my favorite artist and I've listened to everything he's produced countless times but this song feels like a message for those seeking him after he knows he'll pass sooner or later..
