war? no, unless its with himself. In his line "all the words are going to bleed from me and i will sing no more" shows how if he changes for his fans then he'll no longer be himself. and since the "words" are bleeding from him they'd be "stains comin from his blood" telling him to get out. The line where he says "every single one's got a story to tell
everyone knows about it
from the queen of england to the hounds of hell" is like how theres no one who doesnt know them and he thinks it cheepens him. Its a morbid response to his fame and how he doesnt want it but accepts it grudgingly. to a further note the white stripes said in an interview in blender magazine that they're probably going to put 2 albums out at most and break up. |

The lyrics kinda point to how he's getting sick of the popularity he's reaching. The "bleedin' right before the Lord" part could mean he's put on trial for everyone to see, kinda like a judgement thing. The part where he says "the stains coming from my blood tell me go back home" and " far from this opera forever more " sound like he's trying to escape the lime light and get away from it all, back to his small time roots. |

Kurt could always control our emotions. Infact look at this song, he takes a song, does a cover of it, and still makes it one of his best. He was truly a master and i miss his music. |
