I believe this song is about two lovers, one with insomnia and one who doesn't. I think that its about how one is watching the other sleep and how they long to sleep but they can't. they just watch the other drift away into sleep, unable to join them. a direct quote "Milk is about an insomniac bitter that their lover gets to sleep. The chorus is sarcastic: fine, fall asleep, good for you, I’ll be here awake forever." - roby it is such a sad sounding song with such a simple and snarky meaning. i still cry everytime. |
