Their new album hits so hard, they really channeled that Deftones sound in this one imo. Both the heavy and the ethereal parts that I think is so prominent with this band. They ventured off with the past albums but like I said they really came back and dropped straight heat with this one. |

First off this is one of my fav garden songs, I read somewhere that 90% of the SG fans didnt like it tho nor did Ben, but I think it’s such a beautiful piece, really some of the best stuff they ever released! To me it’s simple, Mr. full and Mr. have Kills Mr. empty hand, a child like way to say the rich taking from the poor or the privilege well, being privileged. Then the “half a chance.” Is saying we only got a little amount of time to get our shit together I’m guessing to make the world a better place, but we all know the rich will only get richer and the needy will only get needier. |

I had to fix the lyrics but anyway, I love this song sm there really isn’t anyone like BH surfer and never do I think there will be. This song reminds me of some old Black country singer song turned to a hardcore punk rock masterpiece, which I think that’s what Gibby was going for. Meaning wise to me, it sounds like this said kid got exposed to a lot of bad shit at a early age and now well I guess he turned into a got damn shotgun. XDD |

I love this song sm, the riff is insane! It sounds like something type o negative would come up with along with carnivore (if ykyk) but of course it has the BH surfers all over it. Meaning wise, I have no clue cause the lyrics on Apple Music has Indonesian words (at least that’s what it said when I put it in Google translate LMAO) I guess you better clean it up bitch XD |

also considering the group has mostly black ppl I would say this song is about black power I mean the lyrics are pretty straight forward from the beginning verse to the third it explains pretty much all of it on its own tho the “devil” could be a symbol of anybody from any race. I like the part where it goes “youth and truth are makin love, dig it for a starter .” To me they are mostly saying like black mistreatment or something of that sort is starting to get better and they like it but it’s only the beginning and there’s still a lot more to go. “Dying young is hard to take, sellin out is harder.” This part might mean being a snitch, like it’s either death and dying young and being over with it or you tell the cops or someone with power and have to be taken into witnesses protection almost like hiding for the rest of your life from whoever you snitched on, I could go on but I don’t feel like typing so I would mostly say this song is about black power and abolishing segregation |

I thought this song was about a girl who lived a terrible life and was a bad person "she lived like a murder." But then she killed herself and still went to heaven, and we don\'t know how that could be possible because of how bad of a person she was. "How she fly so sweetly?" and the killing herself a part comes from "She died just like suicide." but you guys said it was about a bird, and that just made so much more sense and explained the garden part and brick. XD |

Before I say anything I love soundgarden and everything about them. They literally don’t have one bad song in my opinion! Also Rest in Power Chris Cornell you will be forever missed! Now on to my interpretation.\n\nTo me Kristi sounds like a woman’s name and with the lyrics being repetitive saying how this woman (Kristi) can’t do anything without this person “you won’t sleep without me” “you can’t breathe without me.” Etc, first I was thinking a abusive relationship where the other person has a high ego and believes that they own this woman (kristi) and are very controlling of her. But then I was also thinking maybe Kristi is a weak woman and is very dependent upon this person. Like one of ppl who cannot not be in a relationship, like they always have to be with somebody, or they are already in a relationship and can’t do anything for themselves so they always need somebody to be that person for them. But I feel as if my first theory is right because of the lyrics “Tell me what I wanna hear.” And “yeah Kristi show me what I wanna see.” Those seem to be the words of a person who think very highly of themselves and looks down on others, especially this woman Kristi who seems to be in a relationship with this highly ego-Ed person. But I could be totally wrong so, that’s just my interpretation. |
