This song has absolutely nothing to do with an extramarital affair! It was a man and a woman that had things going on and moved on, could’ve been school, college, a new job, family issues, and/or military. People always going to the extreme negative! Song is still nice in 2022 without that kind of despicable interpretation. |

Meeting with a lover and we bother decided it wasn’t going to work and moved on, reasons that were absolutely NOT related to an adulterous affair!!
