I once had a love affair with a sweet fella... We had a deep connection but we knew we couldn’t be more... Years passed we remained friends. I never thought he still had feelings for me until he passed away. He left clues behind through his blogs and music something was there even after so many years. I miss him. Had I known how he felt, I would have been open to date him and possibly have a relationship with him once again. But he died suddenly and tragically 46 yrs young. I miss him so much and can’t stop thinking of him specially listening to this song and The Smith’s having been one of his favorite bands. Rest In Peace my dear friend. I love you. |

This is such a great song. The lyrics are a bit confusing but here is my interpretation. To me this song is about someone who misses a old friend/lover etc.. But it’s been a long time and the relationship has sort of drifted... This person craves to reconnect with them but at the same time they hesitate to reach out to them first. This is either due to their own insecurity or just because they feel the other person won’t even care much as they do. So instead they suffer in silence hoping that person will come back into their life once again, only to be let down over and over again. I could be totally wrong 100% hahaha either way, this a great song. Kudos! |
