Whether this song from May 2002 was a good idea, this still has meaning to it. It's basically the definition for our "letter" to Osama saying, "Hey! You fucked up something of ours so we're gonna fuck up you!" This was a year before our "present" where we sent our soldiers and killed that bastard. |

They do everything they can to find and save them, but to no avail until they finally reach the other. I know it's the premise of a game also titled ilomilo, where the characters go back and forth through several levels before finally finding each other. Billie discussed the song a while back in an interview and explained it was her favorite game. |

For me, the way the lyrics go, I think about a man and his wife experiencing their first ever pregnancy. "You've been scared of love and what it did to you," could mean that she started becoming distraught when it read positive, and the lyrics, "We don't have to rush when you're alone with me," could be him reassuring her that she will be alright since they're together. That's just me. Anyone wanna put down my thought? |

This song is about giving up. He's been running from Nico and the Niners for some time, and it's starting to beat down on him. The bridge even says, "They know that it's almost over." This means that Nico and the Niners are already figuring that he'll come to them anyway. The actual chorus, "In time I will leave the city. For now I will stay alive." What it says is he's going to escape soon, but for the moment in time he's in, he's going to stay where he is until he gets out, that is, IF he gets out. Then there's the final verse. "Last year I needed a change of pace. I couldn't take the pace of change moving hastily. But this year, though I'm far from home, in TRENCH I'm not alone: these faces facing me." The last verse states that he wants to change his pace because he couldn't take change's pace. He also says that even if he's far from his living place, he's not alone because of the others that are there, who could be either the others trying to escape with him, or Nico and the Niners watching him try to escape from TRENCH. The story behind it is that his multiple tries to escape TRENCH have worn him down so he's thinking about giving into the people he's doing his damnedest to avoid. |
