Linkin Park – Lying from You Lyrics 6 years ago
I think that the most important line of this song is "the very worst part of you is me," which means that the worst part of being with you is the fake me I become around you.
It is about being with someone that forces you to pretend to be someone else because they will not accept your real self. If a person is especially insecure, being around others is worse than being alone because it makes them judge themselves the way they imagine that others are judging them. They feel like they can't help acting fake around people out of fear of being rejected, but they are sick of their own fakeness, and would almost rather just be rejected and be alone than have to be fake for other people's sake.

Linkin Park – Halfway Right Lyrics 6 years ago
I think that the title halfway right refers to being at war with yourself or just generally not being on your own side. If you are in arguments with yourself (because "there's nobody else to fight"), you can't win or lose because either way, you are halfway right. It's obviously talking about a spiral into drug addiction or just generally self destructive behavior, but I think it's specifically talking about the indecision and inability to act that causes a person to remain in that spiral. Waking up driving sounds like it represents the scariest possible result of blacking out, and that disturbs him and makes him see that he took it too far. But he can't "slow down" because he is still at conflict with himself, maybe because he feels it's already hopeless ("I was already gone"). "I know what I want but it feels like i'm paralyzed" sounds like an internal conflict that leads to paralyzing indecision. Or the inability to act may just be a result of the loss of control and addiction. It also seems like a reflective song, like someone looking back and trying to figure out where they went wrong and when they took it too far, maybe it's halfway right because there's no real right answer to be found.

Thom Yorke – Dawn Chorus Lyrics 6 years ago
It seems like the overall theme is regret and the bittersweetness of letting go of regret. But I think that like with many Thom Yorke/radiohead songs, the lyrics are vague enough that they could be about almost anything, but they are also so poignant and emotional that it makes you think of whatever has the most meaning to you. I think that when you hear it, this song is meant to bring out all the regret and bittersweet feelings you have in your own life, which can make you sad, but that's what makes it a great song. I love how mellow it is too, it conveys so much emotion in a way that is a subtle enough to match the emotions being conveyed.

Radiohead – Bones Lyrics 6 years ago
@[ceej1979:32746] I think radiohead is an exception to that, if we took 99.9 % of their lyrics as literal, most of them would seem like nonsense. It feels like they make an effort for their songs to be symbolic and apply to lots of different things.

Radiohead – Separator Lyrics 6 years ago
This song is so beautiful and uplifting, even by radiohead standards. I don't really have anything new to add, but it seems like most people are interpreting this as being either about death and rebirth or about a relationship, and I definitely agree with the former. The mood of this song is so peaceful and free that I don't think it could be about anything but death. "A long and vivid dream" sounds like life to me, and maybe the name separator could refer to being separated from life and "all the weight I've been carrying." But like every RH song, there are too many layers of depth for it not to seem like it's kind of about everything.
