Interesting song written at a time when many pop stars had relationships with underage girls. Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and even Elvis all had relationships with teenage girls who were much too young. However the sentiment of the singer of this song is that he has been fooled by a young girl he believed was old enough. He wants her to go before they go too far. I doubt this song would or could have been made today. |
