@[CuteOrSomething:29558] This is the most beautiful song I ever heard.I found Tori years ago when "Pink" came out. I was making a recording for my 3rd grade daughter's class, that would reflect things about the students, and their family.Professionally, I have been a baker all my life, so I saw the c/d in a library and said "well, this is a perfect song to represent myself. Then Listened to the whole c/d...and my fascination and closeness with this amazing woman,I became an immediate fan, have followed all her work since and before "Pink", loving Pele and Choir-girl and all her work My Being a devotee is probably a bit out of the ordinary profile of a Tori fan, I've sen her several times in the NY area, and I'm usually the only 65 yr. old straight (sort of) man. Even before I read up on her I could identify with some of the more painful songs, and having been molested as a child myself. Love her for the work she's done with RAINN. Best concert I ever went to (and, as a child of the 60's I saw all the greats....the Dead, Janis Joplin, Hendrix, Simon and Garfunkel (which was my first favorite before Tori) Rod Stewart, Van Morrison etc. and the best was at Jones Beach here on LonG Island....Alanis Morisette and Tori, It was kick ass. My wife is one of those corporate types, and she couldn't stand the show. I knew at that moment the marriage would never last (lol, sort of).Does anybody know if Tori is touring in 2019? Last thought: When she talks about "running" I always have this image of my self finishing a cake....there's an art to making sure that your icing is not running...especially hard to do in the hot humid NY summers. |
