I think this song has many possible meanings: - Obviously it is about love: do you love me enough to kill for me. Today so many people start a relationship just because they are single and not because they have a real love interest in each other. - Then I thought about the people that had killed or are killing in the name of their gods (@[revolvereoeo:27006] mentioned Charles Manson before). - Also the media can be ment: how far would you go to become famous. "Sideways for attention, longways for results" fits to all three meanings: - Take the easy way to get attention: sexually (affaire), religious ( trying to force a specific religion on someone, e.g. suicide bombers) or in media. - Take the long way to get long lasting results: relationship, a deep religious trust, an all-time presence in media. Also in life itself you can take the easy way or the long and hard way for a lasting success. |
