This song hits home.. especially in the acoustic version..most think it's about his mom..it's actually directed at his ex..u see the answer machine u hear in the beginning was him fallen distance to drugs..he realized hearing the answer machine that he hadn't realized his habit affected more than himself.and the call from his mom was a wake up..he lost a girl due to addiction.he loved drugs more than anything til he realized that anything was people who loved him more than he loved drugs |
