| George Harrison – What Is Life Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
I wonder if this is about John. George said later in life that he always considered John to be the closest Beatle to him. Some quotes from people at the time say that there was a lot of tension between John and George over Yoko and John putting down nearly all of Georges song suggestions. May Pang claims that she saw a fight a few years later where George lays into John for mistreating him during Beatles times. John was distancing himself from George in favour of Yoko and George's feeling that John doesn't appreciate him. But George has resolved to still try his best even if John doesn't want him by his side anymore. But that's just a possibility. I can's know for sure. |

| John Lennon – I'm Losing You Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
As I heard it. Yoko kept sending John away, possibly because she was going through heroin withdrawals and didn't want him to know, possibly because she was having an affair or maybe their relationship was just too on the rocks for her to bear. Either way she controlled his schedule and he was angry that she wouldn't even answer the phone to him sometimes. I reckon that the hurting her that he mentions is when he banged that friend in front of her at the Nixon election victory party. I bet she never forgave him for that and no doubt there were other stressful times when John acted out like that. He was probably losing her love. |

| Paul McCartney – Junior's Farm Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
It's about not having control of the situation so retreating to Juniors farm. He's playing poker, bets a grand confidently but then sees that the opponent has a better hand just in time. The eskimo line is silly but Paul would be out of his depth talking to an eskimo and having a confrontation with a sea lion. He has no control over politics but will donate some cement just to get rid of Nixon. There was rampant inflation in Britain during this time. Nothing he can do about it. Lets just get away from all of this go to Juniors Farm where things are simple. |

| Paul McCartney – Dear Friend Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| I just want to add this just because there is a common misconception that this was written for the Wild Life album, it wasn't. It was recorded during the RAM sessions so any reference to a fight between friends happened before John Lennon's HDYSleep. | |
| Paul McCartney – Dear Boy Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
So I think that it's about Linda's ex. Paul can't believe that someone had Linda's love before him but would take it for granted given how important that love is to him. But I also feel that Paul was especially sensitive to people's love being taken for granted. Given that (and I know not everybody agrees) that he was desperate to keep the Beatles together and John just threw all of it back in his face and basically dumped him for Yoko. |

| Paul McCartney – Beware My Love Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| What I heard. But I have forgotten where from. Was that Linda's ex told her not to marry Paul, that he wasn't right for her and that she wouldn't be able to keep up with his intensity. That he'd wear her out, or something along those lines. So Pauls using a double meaning 'Beware my Love'. As in look out Linda that man is too much for you, but ironically Paul is the man so it's literally his love she ought to beware. | |
| Paul McCartney – 3 Legs Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
Paul is feeling insecure. He wonders if his lover will keep on loving him. He's seeing an ominous 3 legged dog. It can't run (because you need all four Beatles for a healthy dog). He feels betrayed by a past friendship and it's making him insecure about the future because he doesn't want to be hurt again. the dog appears more and more as the inevitable confrontation with his past friends comes closer. I haven't got the 3 legged fly thing but I think he's saying that he's got a one legged fly (yeah, is that a Liverpool insult or something?). Then he's flying because that's a Paul trope mostly about his success. He's daring them to knock him down. Goading them even. Very bold, he's talking down to the dog that can't run. He launches his lawsuit just before this album is released. |

| The Beatles – We Can Work It Out Lyrics | 8 years ago |
| @[Uncommon:23627] I agree. I think Jane was probably right. It couldn't have been easy arguing with a Beatle. They could act very entitled especially when they were on tour, Paul wanted her to quit her successful acting career and spend more time with him. | |
| Paul McCartney – Get On The Right Thing Lyrics | 8 years ago |
|
This song was made during the RAM sessions. In that context he is clearly pissed at the Beatles 'They were wrong' But he and Linda loved each other and knew what was right and by doing the right thing the clouds will clear and you'll find happiness. |
