It seems as though it's about a guy looking at his life finding out it's no better then a pigs "(maybe City Life)" But when he realizes his life is like this he takes pride in trying to fix it {maybe the verse}, (I don't need to beg or borrow). Also.. 'Got my friends out on loan, & Got an ocean of laughter for a pool of sorrow' That maybe saying he is hiring therapist's to help him out or forcing himself to be more social with friends, *hence* {the mud I wallow in with the pigs in the beginning} *I can't lose now* Possibly meaning he is making progress... *Easily the way you deceive me strung out so, you stay but to leave me*... Maybe finding out that his life is has been lying to him and he's been scammed by the people he's been with. *And in the last verse before the CHORUS at the very bottom* is him having depression or very stressful thoughts But lets them go as he believes he has the strength to do this to let them go as if God is watching him *Hence* (I'll wait to see how this will end & I'll step into the light) *Possibly not sure but Possibly* The chorus in the end of the song meaning he found Jesus or God, throughout the struggle he has done to find enlightenment and not depression and/or struggles that he has endured. |

(In my opinion this is about 2 lovers that are having problems this is my opinion music is different for everyone, everyone has a different visual/meaning for music) "My secrets are burning a hole through my heart And my bones catch a fever When it cuts you up this deep It's hard to find a way to breathe" (he feels awful about the lover leaving him so he falls into depression) Your eyes are swallowing me Mirrors start to whisper Shadows start to see My skin's smothering me Help me find a way to breathe (he is feeling effects of depression or beginning to hallucinate) Time stood still The way it did before It's like I'm sleepwalking Fell into another hole again It's like I'm sleepwalking (he is remembering good times he had with the lover, but he falling deeper into depression) I'm at the edge of the world Where do I go from here? Do I disappear? Edge of the world Should I sink or swim? Or simply disappear?
