For the most part i only really understand the first half or so. It seems to me that hes saying he has problems with communication when it comes to other people. he feels like he is lesser, a worse person, a 'sinner' compared to the person hes talking to, who is inspiring, a 'saint'. this is also 'in his face' meaning he finds it obvious and its all he can think about when he sees them. hes explaining to this person that his behavious may come off as odd or rude because he has trouble knowing how to talk or behave around other ppl, 'something to consider' idk but this is a great song! |

when i first heard the lines, 'I think I might have inhaled you, I can feel you behind my eyes. You've gotten into my bloodstream, I can feel you flowing in me i thought that the speaker felt so close to the other person or that they had taken up so much of his thoughts (rather like Will couldn't escape thoughts of Hannibal) that it was almost as though they had merged. like the other person had become a part of himself, and their thoughts ('behind my eyes') and actions ('feel you flowing in me') were influenced or even carried out by that person. |

always sounded to me like the speaker is talking to someone in a dystopian environment. 'Hold your colours against the wall, While they take everything away' is the speaker telling them to hold on to something while the government (or people in power) try to take it away. I believe that the people in power are trying to take something away from the people, and are hunting them down for it, while some people try to run away and preserve themselves. this could be freedom, or intelligence, etc. I have more to say about this, just let me know if u want to hear it lol but what do I know? I play too much Halflife haha |

I always seem to interpret Pendulum songs in a more dystopian light haha for this song I always thought that the speaker/s are AI (artificial intelligence). it sounds to me like the parts with the female voice are the AI talking to the only surviving passenger of a ship, the AI being the ship itself, therefore the ship is trying to talk to the human. 'You, you are so precious, But now you've gone away, But I am falling apart, I'll get the waves' is the ship acknowledging that it is dying. the ship to me also sounds corrupted, possibly due to damage. I could go into more detail but its like, 3 am so..but reply with any questions, I will respond :) |
