| @[KevinJB:29869] perhaps it's intentional, as a reference to a drug high never being as long as the user wants it to be | |
| Alkaline Trio – Heart Attacks Lyrics | 6 years ago |
|
Because the lyric edit won't work: It’s time I should be leaving, it’s time for me to go A painting on my ceiling and your footprints in the snow They found you Christmas morning beneath the tree in the front yard The sound, the screams, the mourning As we send sympathy cards Hydrocodone acid-washed brain A shame, a total loss They said that they did all they could That boy's been dead since childhood Leave me alone to analyze The sour power of surprise A ticker out of time and whack Too young to die of heart attacks I guess I should be going, there’s nothing I can say To keep your dad from throwing up at least 3 times a day They found you Christmas morning beneath the tree in the backyard The pounding of your mother’s fist while freezing in the car Oxycodone acid-washed brain A shame, a total loss They said that they did all they could That boy's been dead since childhood Leave me alone to analyze The sour power of surprise A ticker out of time and whack Too young to die of heart attacks I’d kill for a drink (Fetch me a drink) Casket to carry Try not to think (Try not to think) About you dead and buried Hydrocodone acid-washed brain A shame, a total loss They said that they did all they could That boy's been dead since childhood Leave me alone to analyze The sour power of surprise A ticker out of time and whack Too young to die of heart attacks |

| Frightened Rabbit – Backyard Skulls Lyrics | 9 years ago |
| To me, the song is about hiding things about yourself that others might find embarrassing.. Backyard skulls = skeletons in the closet. The message of the song is that our SO will discover our "backyard skulls" that are "not deep enough to never be found", so we might as well admit to our own imperfections and let them decide where to go from there. | |
| Frightened Rabbit – An Otherwise Disappointing Life Lyrics | 9 years ago |
|
Another beautiful break-up song by Scott, though I'm sorry he has to keep going through them. The chorus is all about rebirth/starting anew, hence a fire on an "otherwise disappointing night". His waving goodbye is to his old relationship that he took a "pain pill" to ignore. |
