I believe it to mean that you cannot run away from your problems at home and/or the things you think need to change. If you go away from where you are and come back to find things are not to your liking; you can blame yourself (in part) for not becoming involved in the change you're seeking. The safe-haven you run to has problems of their own, and you can't take that onto your next escape route. Use your good intentions and positive vibes for your home because unless you do something at home then as the lyrics profess, "I used to have a golden tongue But now the words just feel like stones 'Cause you can't take that stuff to canada You can't take it anywhere", no one will trust the Golden Tongue unless it has actions that stand true behind it. |
