Travelling to mystical time zone first threw me off, as he initially spoke of being hung by the neck. But, it seems to speak of conquering a foreign land (metaphor for romantic conquest), which happens before being hung by the neck (could also be metaphor). Desire to conquer is lust, not love, but the pain of the void and the recognition of humanity one denies as one is conquering brings out "feelings" of "love" and then the suffering begins... perhaps he hung himself by his pretty white neck. |
