This is a personal empowerment song. The guy in the song severes his ties to the people, society, or whatever is preventing his growth. Regardless of what stigma he may carry or what people may say, he is shedding his skin. He needs to evolve to live. He is breaking free and bravely creating himself and being proud of whatever he is. message of song=be yourself, be proud of who you are the band used to do a bad ass intro for this song to open their shows. it made some of the most sonically intense moments I ever heard the band produce |

"The End" is a voice of dissapointment with a generation. His peers can't see how they bring each other down and thus receive no respect amoung older generations. They do not stand for anything. The song is yearning for approx. 22-35 year olds to ban together and better the world. The last Woodstock would be an example of the targeted generation being senseless. |

"Shelter" is about the struggle of knowing that you need to extend yourself and attempt to grow but being afraid to do so. The voice in the song promises to move outside of himself but retreats in to the comfort he knows. Message of the song= growing up sucks, but you have to do it, and should meet new challenges with courage eventhough the person in the song was unable to. "Shelterwas not in The Fast and the Furious but was on The Fast and the Furious Soundtrack part 2. Also one of the bands oldest songs. |

| "Dim Halo" is about falling in love with a person and facing the fear and excitement of the total vunerability love brings. Once the "voice" of the song realizes/admits his love, everything changes. The fullness of his love leaves him exposed to the pain failed love will bring but ultimately excepts the danger because the emotion is so overwhelming. | |
