I'm gonna have to give an alternate interpretation here. I don't even know what you look like yet. The chorus just reinforces that he's gonna love her and give her the best of whatever he can give her > I need you before I'm too old > To have and to hold From wedding vows obviously, but he wants to spend lots of time with her, and in order to raise children with her, he needs to be with her while he's still young enough to raise the child. > To walk with you and watch you grow > And know that you're blessed He wants to walk by her side and watch her grow old (as he does) |
