| The XX – Fiction Lyrics | 11 years ago |

I think the song says the lives of people who don't have 'love' is fake, a fiction. It walks about people who don't love someone... not because there is no 'someone' for them but because there is that 'someone' and they are afraid to lose them... Just an interpretation. |

Albatross, as in Samuel Coleridge's famous poem 'Rime of Ancient Mariner', is usually used as a symbol of reminder one's sins. I think the song's about the fact everyone of us has an albatross around our necks. There's always something that we regret, something that we'd wanna' change if we had a chance. The song says to "Shoot it down" and "Let it go.." symbolizing the fact that it's time we let it go. It's time we forget the past, shed our regrets and look for the future, shoot the albatross.... Just an interpretation... |

Pompeii. We all know that story. I personally think that this song is about CHANGE and about our powerlessness over it. "And the walls kept tumbling down in the city that we love..." symbolizing that sometimes situations change when we don't want them to but we don't have the power to do anything about it. People change, things turn bad, relationships go sour.. and sometimes it's not about 'standing up for oneself'. Sometimes, our only chance is to go through with things and get on with them. Just an interpretation. |

| Angus Stone – Broken Brights Lyrics | 11 years ago |

I think that old man represents time... he's walking in the dark symbolizing sadness or depression. Take me home might mean that the writer wants to go back in time.. go back to where the time's good. Broken brights might represent hope.. the last shred of it. So, basically, the writer wants to go back in time where the hope is still alive. Just an interpretation... |
