Broken Brights Lyrics

Is that the old man walking in the dark?
Is that the old man walking in the dark?
Is that the old man walking in the dark?
Is that the old man walking in the dark?

Take me home
Where them broken brights
Are shining down
Make me feel alright

When we were young
When we were young
When we were young
When we were young

Is that the old man walking in the dark?
Is that the old man walking in the dark?
Is that the old man walking in the dark?
Is that the old man walking in the dark?

Shake them bones
Let me lust tonight
We'll grow young
Make me feel alright

When we were young
When we were young
When we were young
When we were young

Is that the old man walking in the dark?
Is that the old man walking in the dark?
Is that the old man walking in the dark?
Is that the old man?

I think that old man represents time... he's walking in the dark symbolizing sadness or depression. Take me home might mean that the writer wants to go back in time.. go back to where the time's good. Broken brights might represent hope.. the last shred of it. So, basically, the writer wants to go back in time where the hope is still alive. Just an interpretation...

This is a beautiful song. Something you listen to with your eyes closed when you're on a little somethin somethin. Reminds me of a top down view of life's path, reminiscing on old love.
