God addressing the believer of Science as a religion. Christianity suggests God loves all human kind regardless of their flaws and beliefs (Come let us reason together, though your sins may be red as scarlet they will be white as snow)He's willing to meet the scientist that lives to deny His existence. Tells him, he loves him and has set him apart. "Tell me your secrets And ask me your questions Oh let's go back to the start" would to me imply he's allowing the scientist to rather ask Him (God) the questions and mysteries he's trying to find. And as is the most hard hitting friction point between christians and science, where it all began... He invites him to take a trip back to the start. Indeed the search, the acceptance and the understanding of it all wont be easy but lets go back to the start where we are most at disbelief. And this is why he says its such a shame for us to part, coz this is the point where those that believe in science dont wanna believe in God. "I was just guessing at numbers and figures Pulling your puzzles apart Questions of science; science and progress Do not speak as loud as my heart" I interpret this as God pulling and tugging at the scientists work, marvelling at how much they've accomplished only to reach dead ends that just dont make sense. He says however that it all doesnt compare to the love that answers all the scientist is looking for. I'd take this song as an evangelism tailor made for scientists that dont wanna believe in God, and that it all didnt start with a big bang but rather as Genesis 1.1 says, In the beginning, GOD |

Partying to drown ones sorrows is just a facade, a mirage, a worthless time expense which does no work towards solving the problems and challenges we trying to run away from. And what challenges? "How did I get in this winding maze of love? And there's something wrong and it's sending you Round and round 'til we go nowhere"often loneliness and rejection in love, which pushes us humans to wreckless behaviour as symbolised by their hunger and hunt for love (the maze) that finds them hopping from one stranger to the next with no true resolve. Coz after the disco (the fun, the sex)... all of the shine (temporary state of contentment) just fades away, coz it isnt real. This stranger is not a dreamer, nor e dream youre looking for, but rather another wrong turn in the maze they are going round and round in So I'd say its a warning, a piece of advice that, perchance, perhaps, "disco"-ing your way through life aint the solution |

| Think twice, your world which may seem imperfect or rather incomplete because you get so caught up chasing "wants" over "needs", you fail to appreciate what you already have... which in another person's eyes, is their own paradise. So I'd say Oh, think twice, its just another day for you and me in (Someone elses) paradise. So in all technicality, dont lament what you havent yet attained, rather celebrate, give, share what you already have. Also accomodating that see our own lives as their paradise would be a thought to extract from this great song | |

| This is a concerned parent lamenting their child's reckless behavior (drinking yourself to death) and puts them self in Daedalus' shoes, looking up at his child whom he has equipped with the wings to fly (metaphorically speaking a parent who desires their child to enjoy life) but takes it all too high flying egotistically up too close to the sun (living beyond your years) which i feel is a child doing what the parent probably did when he was much older. Yes I take this song as a sad parent helplessly watching their child ruin their life (digging your own grave) by loose morals and weak ethics, which sadly stem from their advice to enjoy life which has been taken too practically. | |

Cant agree with you more. And its sad that the youth of today are faced with a strong belief that life can end any day so they live like its their last, only to wake up the next morning adn live thousands more days filled with regret and repurcations from that one night.
