Partying to drown ones sorrows is just a facade, a mirage, a worthless time expense which does no work towards solving the problems and challenges we trying to run away from.
And what challenges? "How did I get in this winding maze of love? And there's something wrong and it's sending you Round and round 'til we go nowhere"often loneliness and rejection in love, which pushes us humans to wreckless behaviour as symbolised by their hunger and hunt for love (the maze) that finds them hopping from one stranger to the next with no true resolve. Coz after the disco (the fun, the sex)... all of the shine (temporary state of contentment) just fades away, coz it isnt real. This stranger is not a dreamer, nor e dream youre looking for, but rather another wrong turn in the maze they are going round and round in
So I'd say its a warning, a piece of advice that, perchance, perhaps, "disco"-ing your way through life aint the solution
