Hayley said so herself on the PARAHOY! cruise that this song was written when she was in a phase of losing her religion (which by the way is restored now) This song just shows a stage which a few Christians or people that believe in God might go through. Losing your faith and starting to question it once bad things start to happen in your life. But I love this song because, just like Hayley said, it reminds me of how I overcame those challenges and you no longer look at it sadly but proudly. The lyrics are clear about someone losing their faith because everything around them is falling apart. The act of 'turning it off' basically in my opinion means stop the confusion inside of her. Beautiful song. |

This song makes me so sad. Oli said himself that anyone can interpret the song however they like because he has his meaning to it and we all have our own. This song is obviously about depression and relapsing. It's about being in a hospital full of broken people and just desperately wanting someone to save you and understand you. 'Watch me burn' means you have to watch me suffer because you can't help me, most likely talking about counselors or family and friends. |

This is probably my favorite song ever. I try my hardest not to dwell on the past, but I'm addicted to this song. I listened to it when I was in a very dark place and I felt like it was the only song that could touch me. It's about being lonely and afriad after being let down by everyone. Turning to self harm and not being able to come up with a valid reason for doing it. 'Hurt myself again today, and the worst part is there's no one else to blame.' What everyone dies for at the end of the day is love and attention and this song is about someone desperately reaching out for that. You try and change yourself to get that. 'Ouch I have lost myself again.' The lyrics Breathe Me to me sound like feel my pain, understand me, love me. It sounds like a weird way of saying breathe with me, sympathize with me. Ramble time over. |

This song really hits home. My interpretation of it is about a friendship/relationship that used to be so solid and trustworthy but soon faded to nothing. I went through the exact same thing. Not being able to get them out of my head, replaying the entire situation over again while they're sleeping soundly. You're wide awake. And you're trying so hard to forget them. They all turn against you and you feel like you have no one so you turn to stuff like songwriting because you know that you have a story to tell and you can't keep it in. But yeah...really deep but beautiful and meaningful song that I suggest you really listen to and read the lyrics. |
