I think Amy's referring to an internal struggle, you're right EZEebs. Maybe it has something to do with fame: 'are they coming for us with camera's or guns' (the press), and the standing without clothes: the feeling of lost freedom could very well refer to fame's disadvantages. |

I've been wondering about this song. It is unavoidable that rivers flow, and that once in a while there's a flood. The government doesn't spend money on preventing floods, but they always find money once they're there. What does this have to do with Eliza? Her belly 'floods' and she is starting to feel that this flood never ends: she's in over her head. But what does the government have to do with this? What's the link between the floods? |
