Aerosmith – Sick As A Dog Lyrics 12 years ago
I've read that too. It actually makes sense. "'Cuz you really ain't that young," would make sense because at the time, rock stars were seen as very youthful, but Mick was getting older. I think in 1975 (the year before this song came out), he turned 32, which wasn't straight-up old, but certainly it had been a decade since "Satisfaction" had come out, there had been a number of rock stars who died at 27 or even younger and I think most of the '50s rock stars had been washed-up by that point in their lives, though I could be wrong.

There's also the line "it's a shame you're so refined," which could be a comment on how the Stones were a lot less unruly by that point and had arguably become mainstream stars.

Spin Doctors – Jimmy Olsen's Blues Lyrics 12 years ago
The line "I'm Jimmy Olsen, not a Titan, you see," could be a reference to the Teen Titans (or by that point, the New Titans) which was a team of younger superheroes who are more famous now than back then.

3 Doors Down – Kryptonite Lyrics 12 years ago
Even if the song is supposed to be metaphorical, it actually fits the finale to the '90s animated series, where Darkseid controls Superman's mind and he turns evil, and when he snaps out of it, it's almost too late.

Michael Jackson – Come Together (The Beatles cover) Lyrics 12 years ago
Ugh. I really hate these little rivalries. But anyway, I think the Beatles version, ironically, aged better. Michael's version has that really cheesy synth bass that screams 1988 while the Beatles' version has a pretty timeless arrangement. I won't argue about the energy, but I think the song was supposed to be a little more mellow.

Anyway, it was originally written as a campaign song for Timothy Leary when he wanted to run for governor of California, but that just kind-of fizzled and the Beatles just decided to record it as the first song on "Abbey Road" which was supposed to be their last album.

Stone Temple Pilots – Kitchenware & Candy Bars Lyrics 12 years ago
This post shows how delusional the pro-abortion crowd is. First, I don't think very many pro-life counselors hide the fact that they're pro-life, whereas businesses like Planned Parenthood have been caught on tape pressuring women to have abortions when they're unsure. The abortion industry wraps itself in the flag of "choice," but make no mistake, they're more concerned with your $400 than "what the mother needs."

And yes, those of us in the pro-life community do happen to care more about the right to life than whether or not the baby fits into her financial plan or if she gets depression. Just like if you saw someone committing a rape, you'd care more about stopping the guy than the finer points of laws governing coming to the aid of another. Right?

And finally, it's cute that you talk about the so-called "lies" that pro-life pamphlets and literature have when you can't come up with any specifics, when I can name plenty, starting with the all-time lie that the unborn is somehow less of a human, not to mention "it doesn't even look like a baby" that "oh, abortion's so safe," that before Roe V Wade (or at-least before it became legal in a given state) a woman's only option was to jab herself with a coat hanger, and of course, the lie that the pro-life movement hates women; not to mention the propaganda term that is "pro-choice."

Y'know, cuz when you talk about "a woman's right to choose," it makes it sound like you're talking about women's right to vote, when we're actually talking about abortion.

Finally, yes, I created this account just so I can spread my pro-life propaganda. But at-least I'm honest about it.
