Yall have this one all wrong. It isn't about superman. It's about being a nerd going up against a meat head for a woman's love. And he's telling her to forget mr beefcake cause he has a pocket full of killer weed and a brain (stoned though it may be).

Pretty clear this is about a guy who has a thing for a girl who is completely out of his league. There is no girl in fiction who is more out of your league than the girlfriend of a near god, so Lois Lane is the example in the song.
The line "I'm Jimmy Olsen, not a Titan, you see," could be a reference to the Teen Titans (or by that point, the New Titans) which was a team of younger superheroes who are more famous now than back then.
