| Phantogram – Futuristic Casket Lyrics | 3 years ago |
| Shakespeare, in Julius Ceaser wrote:\n\n"A coward dies a thousand times before his death, but the valiant taste of death but once. It seems to me most strange that men should fear, seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come."\n\nSo here we have a coward who exhibits this behavior by wanted to dig a hole and climb inside and is sorry he was cruel to a woman in his past.\n\nBy "past life" it plays on the theme of dying a thousand times before the true death. | |

Set as a song of psychotherapy set to music, it's a song about John exploring his own thoughts with some disagreement. I submitted corrections to the lyrics such as: "Always, no sometimes think it's me" to say he corrects himself about always, er, sometimes. This section is about drug use and how he was on drugs so much he posted he Sometimes thinks it's about him (as opposed to Always", then says "I know when it's a dream" as in he knows when it's drug use lucidity. So catch the drift? Sometimes knows it's real but always knows when it's drugs? The phrase "It's not too bad" was their thoughts on the whole Magical Mystery Tour album often leaving recording sessions with engineers having to work their magic but saying to them "it's not too bad" The 2nd part about no one being in his tree is specifically talking about his level of thinking and no one being in that class of thought, but hey, that either means I'm hi (genius) or low (idiot). |

| Olivia Newton-John – A Little More Love Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
@[crombiegirl00:8021] Not sure if it's "start" or "stop" as the guy is having an affair with her, and a little more love on "his" side to his wife will have him "stop" depending on the singer. Also should be written as "I know... know you..." |

| Donna Summer – MacArthur Park Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
Jimmy Webb wrote this about a breakup he had and while he remained friends with his ex, the breakup happend in Macarthur Park as he worked close by. He said he even recalls seeing the man playing Chinese checkers, the cake someone left, etc. Very cut and dry this one. |

Still listening to this tune but I don't see any correct comments here. Basically the lead singer is a true sleepaholic who's girlfriend dumped him because of this. He then penned this tune to describe her coming in and throwing up the blinds and being like an inch from the bed and he still slept and she had enough. So a decent way to describe it while not totally going off on her. |

| The Carpenters – Super Star Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
Written by Richard Marx? Are you kidding me? Written in the 60s by Delaney & Bonnie and Richard Carpenter toned it down from Groupie to Superstar. |
