Codeine – Smoking Room Lyrics 11 years ago
This song in comparison to the rest of the album is rather strange. Whereas the majority of songs (if not every song preceding) are introspective and depressive/bleak, "Smoking Room" ends on a note of hope. The last verse,

"The world is frozen now,
It glitters, sparkles and shines",

is delivered in such a way that it conveys a sense of there being a light at the end of the tunnel or hope at the very end. This almost contradicts the lightless, sombre moods of the tracks coming before it, but in a way makes it a perfectly fitting end to such an album.

Codeine – Ides Lyrics 12 years ago
I believe that this song is about the struggles of depression. The feeling of being unable to go outside and that you cannot interact is very characteristic of depression. Also the last two verses are almost symbolic of the depression truly taking hold and the lyricist/narrator becoming suicidal (a warning sign, I don't want to know why, etc.).
