Driftless Pony Club – Pyramid City Lyrics 10 years ago
The song is about San Francisco. The "Pyramid" in Pyramid City is the Transamerica Pyramid which is the tallest skyscraper on the San Francisco skyline. Bummer and Lazarus are described here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bummer_and_Lazarus

Driftless Pony Club – Manifest Destiny Lyrics 10 years ago
I think that "Every man, woman, child deserves dirty laundry" must refer to the practice of european americans using blankets to spread small pox. This line and the work as a whole is haunting and satirical. Well done, dpc.

Driftless Pony Club – We're Cheap Already Lyrics 10 years ago
a great song about modern life. "augusta and honore" refers to streets in chicago, where the band is based.

Driftless Pony Club – Pluto Vs Neptune Lyrics 10 years ago
I disagree. What makes this song great is the very serious portrayal of the planets that DPC creates. The planets are shown as people with life and feeling. They make a tragedy out of inanimate objects; there's nothing fun or playful about it. Also, Craig doesn't write all the songs.
