And to add on to some of the previous comments, I think this friend might actually be an actual person. This person is possibly a past band member, whom while have fun with Brian and Mat, was also doing bad things. As stated before, the friend got in trouble for being with this guys, and is sent to a military camp. "Make sure you kiss your knuckles before you punch me in the face" This line in general is probably talking about the friend getting back at Brian, because while he had fun, his family hates him. "I'm sure we could find something for you to do on stage Maybe shake a tambourine, or when I sing, you sing harmonies" This line is Brian just begging to have this friend, a band member, back. He is saying that whatever it is, he just wants this guy back. This is an amazing song,hope you enjoy learning about it. IF I'm right.. |

It seems as if Brian(artist) is a little sad about a breakup. He keeps thinking back and wishes he was still with this girl, but this girl broke his heart. She's "cracking his rib cage open" to get to the heart. Meanwhile he is just lying at the bottom of a metaphorical pool. "I will stop cutting my pants into shorts I will address the issues I cannot ignore And I will do the things I think you might like" Now he is willing to do anything to get back with this girl, whatever she says. "And I will be alone probably the rest of my life." In the end, though, he knows that she probably won't come back, and he will never find another girl. Grat song, by a great band, though! |

I think that the term "frames" is referring to his glasses. He can't see a thing without them, but really just doesn't like glasses. He hopes that one day he can make enough money to where he won't need them anymore, maybe get some contacts. It is an exaggeration, because I'm sure he has enough money to get them, but still. Just my thoughts. Sorry if I "offended" any of you. |
