Well, as an atheist, there aren't many ways for me to interpret this other than atheists being they whom gods (actual gods, religions, people in general) detest. |

Sir/Ma'am, you have no idea how much every word in your comment rings true to my life. That "Field of Innocence" that we used to live in is gone forever. There's almost a longing to go back to it and yet I still don't want it again. |

I'm not religious but I can see a possible religious interpretation. Maybe the first verse is saying how some religious people are too zealous about something they can't even comprehend. Then the second verse is saying how this person wishes he/she could comprehend that "incomprehensible something." This is sort of reminiscent of Roswell's Spell in my opinion. For example, Pete sings "Does anybody really see anything? Does anybody really see anyone?" So, in this song, he/she has just grown indifferent about the subject of religion and the possibility of a deity since no one really knows. |

I personally agree with not taking it so literally. He says "blame it on my ADD" too much for me to take it literally. It seems like he's comparing his actions with the actions of a person with ADD. That's my take on it. |

What terriblecomics said!
Also, maybe the guy legitimately wants to know what a fox sounds like. It's a real mystery. |
