| One Direction – Steal My Girl Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
"She’s been my queen since we were sixteen"- there's no way this isn't pointing to the formation: 3 members were 16 at the time of formation "Everybody wanna steal my girl Everybody wanna take her heart away Couple billion in the whole wide world Find another one ‘cause she belongs to me"- possible reference to fandom notion of "our girls, the boys" original notion of fandom integrity, the fandom stays together, "we're a family". It is also possible that this refers to what used to be fear of Directioners, and fear of the One Direction fandom expressed by many rivals which has since died down after the introduction of support act 5sos and subsequent loss of momentum. "whole wide world" wouldn't refer to small scale love story if it's world wide; therefore it most likely refers to fandom and the stealing of fans as opposed to love story "girl" "I don’t exist if I don’t have her"- interdependence; once again, notion as expressed various times when receiving awards "wouldn't be here if it weren't for the fans", "owe it to the fans" "She knows, she knows that I never let her down before She knows, she knows that I’m never gonna let another take her love from me now!"- "never let her down" reference to saving fans from depression; "she knows"- indirect "I know her well" "Well find another one 'cause she belongs to me" (Zayn ad lib)- "go find your own fans, they're mine" "Na na na na na"- old style influenced tune, XFactor performances? Composed and written by band members, from the heart? |

| It's about actively doing something to change your situation, I suppose. It doesn't say explicitly 'hey kiddo, do something about it' but it does mention taking opportunities or something of the likes. | |

| It's talking about a relationship, probably early phase when you're pretty obsessed with the other... and it's sung by a scientist... one of the only songs I can think of that aren't talking about guys being bad. | |

| I don't think it stretches between life and death, I think it's more like friends being separated because of things going on in their lives: this could be a reference to them as individuals and in relation to what's happened to them after the band got famous, to their friends, family. | |

| It's the same concept as any other love song in the way of 'that person hurt you, don't worry, I won't do that to you and you can trust me'. The point where it deviates from the bulk of the category is that it's a girl song. It's very different song content to what other girl singers might have. | |
| One Direction – Back for You Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| It sounds like a promise to Eleanor and Danielle in particular, that through the distance and the tough times Liam and Louis will still be coming back to the girls. In addition, it would also be logical to be aimed at their families because they don't see them very much either and fame tends to have a negtive effect on family relations eg. it might take the boys to looney land and they'll be rather up themselves. | |

| It's not quite the typical girl songs you hear on the radio, this one is about a guy who's had some kind of trouble with a past girlfriend who he seemingly invested a lot of himself into but then she took him for granted or something, and now the girl person's trying to mend him and by the sounds of it, coax him into a relationship with her, with what appears to be a promise to be there, that she won't do what the previous girl had done to him. | |

| It's an anti- bullying song, pretty much, a setting that unfortunately many young peopl can identify with in this day and age with the eating disorder or something along the lines of that. It's about opportunities as well, telling you to take the opportunity if you have one to go for something, even if people are trying to stop you from it, forget about what they're saying, believe in yourself. | |
| Imagine Dragons – Radioactive Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| It's a pretty dark song, sounds like an environment straight out of some sort of post-apocalyptic setting that reminds me of something like The Hunger Games or The Ask and the Answer. I'm 15, don't blame me for the Hunger Games reference. | |
