| Actually, thExile, Chicago has an Eastside, but it is not the east side of downtown which you've described. The Eastside is the name of a neighborhood on Chicago's south side and boarders Indiana (look it up). Unfortunately, most of Chicago has forgotten about this part of Chicago, but the area has a very rich history. For instance, the bridge that the Blues Brothers jump in the movie (95th street bridge) - that was on the Eastside. The memorial Day Massacre of 1937 also took place on the Eastside. | |
