Awolnation – Run Lyrics 10 years ago
Might be a bit of a stretch, but I think it's about a [possibly retired] Soldier.

"I am a Human being... Capable of doing terrible things."
- What (s)he has done/seen in his/her time in Battle is haunting them. Most likely, they've done these "horrible things" during whatever war they were in. But they realise, it's only natural for humans to be cruel. War is a thing humanity will never let go of; just as easily as someone can do good, they can commit evil.

"There's lightning striking all over the world."
- I think this is straight-forward. He's saying there's fighting everywhere, as pretty much every corner of the globe has had at least one Battle fought on it.

"You people are mistaken if you think that I'm awake and celebrating anything I've become."
- (S)he probably has PTSD, hence implying they feel ashamed of what they've done. Like Jarhead put it: "A solder never forgets their Rifle. No matter what they do. Be it Buy a house, kiss their lover, go out for a walk, change their child's diaper; their mind always goes back to the Rifle." A lot of people think that society glorifies War, especially with all the popular FPS's out there now. Without really understand what it does to people.

The reason why I'm saying this is pretty out there is because of the phone conversation at the end of the song. If that has ANYTHING to do with the Song's meaning, then all this is thrown off. But regardless, despite that phone conversation, this is how I view the song. There's not much here lyric-wise to work with, three legitimate lines if you ask me; so really everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

Godsmack – What's Next? Lyrics 10 years ago
He's questioning the Afterlife. Is there really an "other Side"? Heaven, Hell, whatever; is it really there? One person will say "it can't be proven" while another says "it can't be disproven". Who's right and who's wrong? We may never know. Not unique of Godsmack to cover such a topic, "Question!" by System of a Down, "Hollow Life" by KoRn, and countless others have covered this topic. But they all have a common meaning: Only death is certain, what comes after is a mystery.

Halestorm – The Reckoning Lyrics 10 years ago
It's a breakup song where whoever she was dating treated her poorly, might have even been an abusive relationship. Not just mental scars left on her, but possibly physical injuries. This ex-lover ruined her, and she wants revenge. And she gets it, according to the chorus.

Rise Against – Zero Visibility Lyrics 11 years ago
This is a bit of a Stretch, but I think it's about the LGBT Community. It's not the First Time, „September's Children“ was about the LGBT Community, in association with the „It Gets Better Project“. I think Tim's Putting himself in the POV of a Homosexual Person:

„Can’t hide forever is what they say
In with the wind, out with a bang
Meanwhile nothing has changed“
Can't Hide Forever = Gays are Constantly Bullied and Discriminated everywhere.
Out with a Bang = Suicide (Many are led to Suicide from all the Bulling/Abuse).
Nothing has Changed = There are still a lot of people who will go on without end on how they believe Homosexuality is Wrong.

„The moments of clarity here are short lived
Bleed through the bandages again
The wind is a lie, no longer white
Black as a day without sun“
Moments... are short lived = Few People actually Stand up for Gays
Bleed through the Bandages = Internal Suffering, Depression, possible Suicidal Thoughts.
Black as a Day without Sun = Feeling of No Hope, there's a beautiful Sky up there, but you can't get to it because it'S blocked by Clouds or Something.

„Passed out in a gutter
Woke up in your arms
Nursed back into color
The same touch that heals me
Left the scar“
Passed out in a Gutter = Psychical Violence/Abuse.
Woke up in Your Arms...Nursed me back into Colour = a Supporter of LGBT Equality is there for them
The Same touch that heals me... LEFT THE SCAR! = (it should be in all caps 'cause it's Screamed) maybe someone the person Trusted, like a Parent of Friend who was there for them, until they found out they were Gay, then they turned against them.

„And the world works in ways that I never
Have claimed to know
We got out and fought through the weather
But it followed
The view from here isn't better
But it’s all we know
It’s all we know“
The World works in ways I have never Claimed to know = He can't believe why this is, why people just can't accept the LGBT Community. Love is Love, regardless of Gender Difference or Gender Similarity.
We got out and Fought through the weather but it Followed = Either Fighting or Ignoring the Homophobes, but even after the Battle is over the Homophobes still repeatedly keep bashing them.
The View from here isn't Better, but it's all we Know = Nothing seems to be Working, everywhere he goes, someone Speaks out against him.

[Chorus]
„We are not brave, we are not wise
We stand at the end of the longest times
But we stand here all together
We have been damned, we have survived
We came back to homes we don’t recognize
But we return here all together
/
We are not brave, we are not wise
We stand at the edge of the borderlines
But we stand here all together
We have been damned, we have survived
Who we become you won’t recognize
But became them all together“
We are not Brave, we are not Wise = We [The LGBT's] are just ordary People, we're not Special, we're not Superhuman.
We stand at the end of the longest times / We stand at the end of the Borderlines = Everytime their Picked on, it seems like it never ends, because it happens so often.
We have been Damned, we have survived, we came back to Homes we don't Recognise = Homosexuals have been Discriminated, Hated, Abused, Beaten and even Killed, just for their Personality. But they still carry on, even if all didn't make it, some still Carry on.
Who we Become you won't Recognise / we Return here all Together = This is Directed at the Homophobes, basically saying „If you don't like us because of who we are... then Fuck You! We're not Giving Up. We'll always Stand Together.“

Overall, I think it's a Great Song. I'm not 100% on this Interpretation, this is just my Educated Guess. I'm actually not even part of the LGBT Community Myself, I am a Straight Man, but I fucking Hate people who hate the LGBT Community. To me, it's just as offensive and Unacceptable as Racism, Sexism and Xenophobia. Or just Discrimination in General. I'm not Gay, but I wish I was just to Piss of Homophobes. And for any one out there Part of the LGBT Community, I'm with Tim (And probably the rest of Rise Against as well), I may not be a Part of you, but I'm willing to Walk with you until the End.

Slipknot – Psychosocial Lyrics 11 years ago
I understand what you're saying, hell I'm Anti-Religious myself, but I just don't get that from this song. I'm kinda agreeing with the Crowd on this one, most think it's Anti-War or Against the Government (Most likely the US Government, 'cause Slipknot is an American Band). Now I'm not saying you're wrong, but I just can't relate to what you said.

The L-Train – Who I Am (DrDrycer cover) Lyrics 11 years ago
Sounds like it's about Princess Luna. Especially from SE02EP03 "Luna Eclipsed" but with plenty of references to the Season 1 Premiere

"They say this is who I am…
But what they don't understand is that…
This is killing me"
They say she's still Nightmare Moon, they still fear her (Fluttershy in particular) because of her actions as Nightmare Moon. But she just wants to be Luna, it's "killing" her because people see her for what she is no longer.

"Is this who I'm supposed to be?
A nightmare, see what I have done to you
It feels oh so wrong"
All Equestrians can remember of her is Nightmare Moon. She asks basically "Is this what you want me to be?"

"But what else could I have done…
When all they see, is the monster I'm supposed to be"
Same as before, she wants to be Luna, but everypony still sees her as Nightmare Moon.

DrDrycer did an amazing job with the Lyrics, but the L-Train's cover blew the original away in my opinion. Just his tone of voice and the chorus is what gets me. The screaming in the chorus and the Metal/Rock tone of his cover just more strongly emphasise the "emotion" of the song than DrDrycer's original Soft Rock version. I Love Luna, and I wish the show would go further into her character.

All That Remains – A Call To All Non-Believers Lyrics 11 years ago
Well yeah i did kinda sound like an asshole, and I sowwry for dat :3

FYI: I don't hate people who are Religious, I really don't; and I can respect your beliefs if you follow the bible, tanakh, quran or whatever, that's cool. Whatever your beliefs. You should respect my "lack of beliefs" in return instead of shoving your religion down my through, please.

I was just giving my interpretation of the song, my bad if I offended someone :(

All That Remains – A Call To All Non-Believers Lyrics 11 years ago
The song overall seems to be about trying to unite Atheists against Theists/Polytheists.

"I know your false God
I've seen his works and his deeds
Your Angry False God
And violence is his creed"
In this stanza he is arguing against "god", basically saying he doesn't exist. He says that god is Angry and Violent because (in Christianity, for example) this "God" claims to love all of his creations... yet Christians believe that all who don't approve of god (and all that other Christian bullshit) are damned to hell for eternity. And let's not forget there have been plenty of Religious Wars (i.e. the Crusades) where one Religion tried to completely wipe out another for there different or lack of belief because it's different from theirs.

"Dominate subjugation the end
Decimate destruction is the real trend...
You have their blood on your hands
Wash their blood from your hands"
This is about the violence that comes from religions, i.e. religious wars. And that even if you weren't part of the Crusades, or any other genocide/war for a religious purpose, you still believe in the same thing that did that.

"Don't leave their blood on your hands
Wash their blood from your hands

This is a call to all non-believers
This is a call to stand up and fight"
He's saying to stand up to Theists & Polytheists, that Religious People shove their religions down the throats of people who don't want a part of it, so Atheists should be allowed to do the opposite.

Now I just want to take a second to the reader, so I don't sound like a complete asshole. Yes, I am Atheist, but I can respect Theism/Polytheism and people who say that's what they believe or their way of life or whatever. I mean, you want to waste your life praying to nothing, fine, be my guest. Except for extremists, or groups like Westboro Baptist, fuck those cunts. I may be against Organized Religion, for many reasons, but Organized Religion is just one thing that no matter how many people hate it, it's going to happen anyway; like Warfare, War will always happen as long as humans are around, no matter how many protests or whatevers to prevent Wars happen, Wars will still happen.
