it takes a lot of courage to say that Maxy17.... know that you are not alone in your struggles and that we all have something hard to work out in our lives. Perhaps buying a whiteboard and a non-permanent marker and expressing yourself on the board would be very helpful! At least you can erase it once you are done expressing and you can create again with something beautiful...Much love and light and a hug out to you! |

To me, my perspective of the words means shedding this invincible mask we wear, the one we wear when we drink, we use drugs and are not completely authentic. I can competely relate to the words on both sides of the coin, where I was using to escape and also being co-dependent in relationships and running away from those people. It's funny how he says, "the city's an analogy of things building inside of me...." Have you ever looked around you and noticed that to be true? I have by analysing the street names, my location, the sound of the sirens daily....complete chaos. It does take courage and control by letting go of what is not ours to begin with and what IS ours to own. Authentically speaking, I've been on a wonderful courageous journey of self discovery of my true passions, loving people, and acceptance. I love this song and how it's worded. Great job Brandon, as usual, you amazing poet |

I was never one to be on the side of politics and war. I always worked for peace on earth and respecting our nature as much as possible. This song has deep roots for me, especially after recognizing that there was a battleship named after a distant relative of mine that actually assisted in saving prisoners of war that earned a 1 star rating. I wish I could say the same about the town I live in. So contradicting but I'm grateful my values and ways are to bring peace!
I love how the CD starts with Quicksand and meshes into this song. It blows my mind away. |

Unabashed honesty would be ideal
But a prophet did once say, that honesty's our only word
....such powerful words I experience, and I would rather truth and setting my own boundaries than to conform to what society tells us is "normal".....
I love this song. |

Definitely one of my many favorite songs to either play on guitar or sing Karaoke.
This song has much meaning to me in my life with the hardships and how when you just let life be and take it's course instead of fighting back, karma eventually circles its way around without forcing it.
I'm too old to go to the carnival and riding carousels.... I would much rather live life with meandering and straight roads than going through a revolving door. My take...
Love life |

Looking at a planetarium program, the planet Mercury seems to be right beside Venus, hence giving it the name Mirror of Venus??
I agree with you 100% maxi17 when you mention "Like she's not completely herself, but he loves her anyway and she's so mysterious that he wants to go wherever she does--find out more about her, help her along." it makes me think of the song Anna Molly too, a girl who may or may not exist in real life. |

I absolutely love this song on such a personal level. I know for me, I've moved the same amount of times as my age, armouring myself and totally kicking my SELF in the ass after a lost opportunity in the past. Perhaps Synchronicity will work its magic somehow, but I don't believe in illusions any longer! I like results! |

I feel this song is about a girl he perhaps feels connected with, by an umbilical cord that is invicible. Sort of like a soul mate/twin flame. Given that he's a Pisces and if you were to do research on the Piscean sign and the Virgoian, you may find some more answers biblical but also stemming from Egyptian times. I remember once reading something that was written about the song and the concept about a girl that "may or may not exist in real life". An anomaly. I agree with Want2Lrn, when you meation Divine Spirit and also the pineal gland. Too bad that Mr Boyd couldn't tell us outright the Divine meaning or person that is in question but it's fun to pick apart songs.
I find it quite interesting (this song) because I come from a town that has two different geomagnetic anomalies. Regardless, awesome sauces! |
