Have to agree Karlos would expect a little more interest in such a great track. Its amazing how many Ant fans still dont realise what this track is about, even the title was the title of Uncle Adolfs 1930's radio programme. Although i think Mr Ant himself tries to play down a lot of the subjects of his tracks from this era that contained delicate controversial matter. Dirk wears white sox the track was again Giving a nod to Nazism and night porter. I couldnt believe when i purchased the rereleased Dirk wears white sox album in the early 1980's and the lyrics on the inner sleave had been changed on certain tracks. Example "A wall full of Handclaps" in the Idea! Oh please Adam! lol |

Night Porter the 1974 Movie starring Dirk Bogarde and Charlotte Rampling was about an impossible relationship between an Ex Concentration Camp operative (Bogarde) and one of his captives whom he sexually abused at the camp. Rampling meets Bogarde again in 1957 in Vienna where he is laying low working as a night porter and the they take up where they left off 13 years earlier. The film also touches on sleeping Nazi cells who are still operating and plan a surprise for the Couple. |
