Bombay Bicycle Club – The Giantess Lyrics 13 years ago
this seems to be about a woman who is married to a man that doesn't excite her, and has an affair, and lighting beautiful passionate affair. And one beautiful passionate night is better than a lifetime of vanilla (once is better than a lifetime)

Bombay Bicycle Club – Always Like This Lyrics 13 years ago
She's pretending to be into him/the relationship... but can probably sense what he already knows, that he's not whole. He's all kinds of messed up, but she's pretending to still be into it (Kept it at bay/Yes you kept your words/There on your mouth/But it’s not what I heard) and he's seeing through her faking it. Yet, she's wasting what he does have to offer, even in his brokenness, and instead pretending that he's fine and everything is fine. In her denial she is missing the good stuff that comes from being broken. He's saying that this always happens with girls - he's broken, and there are things that were taken from him that he cannot give to these girls, because they are gone, but they pretend anyway to be okay and not recognize the brokenness. (Try to look proud/But you’re not in the slightest/Its happening now/And it’s always been like this). Maybe she sees his brokenness and is willing to wait for "what he can give" (Oh you can wait/For what I can give/You know what I am/So you know how I live) - - - recognizing he is broken, but ignoring it in the hopes that he will be healed.

Bombay Bicycle Club – Ghost Lyrics 13 years ago
You just fly straight up and come the fuck down
You see your house fall 'cause you built it on the wrong ground

Presumably about a girl (person) who, in relationships, starts out very intense and interested and dramatic, but then, because the feelings were not based on something real, she comes "down" from the high and gets over it quickly. The "house" (relationship) falls apart because it wasn't based on something real.

Bombay Bicycle Club – Leave It Lyrics 13 years ago
I see this song is about two people who are just so hopelessly meant to be together, but one is afraid of it and running away, "leave it" meaning don't make this harder than it has to be (because she's trying to get away). And the speaker (hold you tight, words have a new sound) knows what they have is special and is holding on to her tightly (emotionally). Because the subject is afraid of the relationship, she is making excusing to why it cannot work - all of which have been disproven in practice (each of your reasons has broken). The speaker is upset because he sees how meant to be the two are together, despite the subject's disagreement (Don't you go evade me now/Come see what you've done) and the speaker wants the subject to see the damage she has done to him. He's been thinking lately of the inevitability of their being together (I've been thinking lately how/all these feelings won"). Get over it woman. Let what must be be!
