Did anyone ever legitimately listen to this and think if Frank meant for this song to be sung from a woman's point of view? Perhaps Jenny's? "Forrest Gump, you run my mind boy Running on my mind boy Forrest Gump I know you Forrest I know you wouldn't hurt a beetle But you're so buff, and so strong I'm nervous Forrest" Jenny loved Forrest which is why he was "running" through her mind and the concluding word "boy" sounds like something Jenny would say. Only Jenny would know he "wouldn't hurt a beetle" and say he's "so buff and so strong" |
