Tenacious D – Throwdown Lyrics 13 years ago
You started your comment with "I believe" and you couldn't be farther from the truth. Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, the big three prophets of the Abrahamic religions and how those religions are all not-true and dangerous. They cause horrible problems in the world due to the fact that they believe in fairy tales. Please just contemplate the fact that you are telling us to read an ancient book (with obviously impossible events) that has been edited and lost in translation for over one thousand years and believe it to be fact. Blind Faith is not a virtue, it is denial and arrogance. Arrogance that your book is the word of the one and only god, that you are a member of his one true religion, a part of "his" favorite race, on "his favorite planet, in "his" favorite solar system, in "his" favorite galaxy, within the universe in which he has always existed and he created everything, controls everything, knows everything, can do anything, and loves everything and everyone as himself because they are his creation.
However he allows and created the world to be in chaos and suffering (at least if he is omnipotent and all knowing as he is claimed to be) and He also will send you to hell to be tortured forever if you don't believe in him even though it is his influence that guides you to disbelief, but that's just the start. I can't comprehend why after really thinking about it anyone would have "faith" in a super-being as proclaimed by old stories, where in our day and age we have science and an understanding of the universe that would be god-like or magical to the people living during that time, back then the earth was flat. Please deeply think it over for a few days and answer this. Why do you believe in God (the man) and his bible?

Bob Dylan – Gospel Plow Lyrics 13 years ago
I see this song as being anti-christian. Bob Grew up in a small town in the midwest and he was one of the few jewish people in town. This made him different from them and made it so he examined their religion more. "Mary wore three links of chain, every link was jesus name. Keep your hand on that plow hold on", sounds like slavery to me, reminds me especially of the bible's treatment of women as property. Then later is the promise of gold lined streets in heaven, but he's never been there and says to hold on to the plow right afterword. Meaning don't think get back to your slave labor for this religion and it's false promises, hold on to the gospel plow.
