firstly, this song is brilliant. okay i start. this song is talking about suicide and how he feels invisible to this girl who is sees as perfect. he wants to be as perfect as her and feels that he is nothing more than a creep now. he says that she is special and he wishes he was too. some time in the song he starts to talk about how he doesnt care if it hurts. this is talking about suicide and an escape from the feeling of invisibility he has into what he hopes will make him perfect. he says many times that he doesnt know what he is doing here as if he wants to be somewhere else and that somewhere else is somewhere where he can have a perfect body and soul which is the afterlife. |

| this song is about her saying that the people she is surrounded by, her 'friends' are so simple and narrow minded and superficial and due to this she feels alone in the world. she and her lover are living a different way of life and although they know it wont last forever they would rather be true than be like everyone else. i think that this song is a realization that the people around her, with their meaningless chatter dont matter much and that their opinions make no real significance in her life and this is the way she ends her song. | |

This song is obviously about a relationship. I think the first stanza is referring to how the weekend is where you find yourself again and when the weekend is over it kind of ends. I think the third stanza, "we think about the sun till it sets" is really really powerful. to me, it refers to how we always think about things. we are always over thinking. and in this situation, they thought about the sun so much till it was no longer there and they were unable to even enjoy the beauty of it. This recent adaptation humans have, of overthinking has lead to a difference in the way we think, comprehend, react and behave to everything. Stanza 5 talks about all this romantic stuff that couples tend to do together. It makes the song sounds really romantic and sappy. ( except for certain bits for example when he says "we'll go through all the motions," it makes the love sound forced) So anyway this whole part is pretty cute and romantic. THE SIXTH AND LAST STANZA is where this song really gets crazy. Everything including the beat, the voice of the singer and the lyrics suddenly change. This is when the lyrics repeat "do you really want it" this is HELLA POWERFUL! it is asking the audience if they really want these things. if they really want love and a relationship at all. (wow. this part blows my mind) and, thats pretty much how he ends the song. so, he starts off by telling everyone about love and how its awesome and cool and fun and all that shit but then he asks. if they really want all these things. do you really wanna be in love??! |

I dont know about the past of the band members at all but the second stanza sounds like he is describing that he had the perfect life planned for him and then his plans changed when he discovered his love for music or his interest in being a professional. clearing up the possible misconceptions that people may feel (that he regrets this decision) he says that this is where they belongs. <3 and it is. The third stanza refers to how he feels when he is writing music. he feels like he is out of the world with emotion and expression. he explicitly says that he needs to think when writing the song and that he uses his mind and passion in writing music. (which they obviously do, THEIR MUSIC IS PERFECT) dont leave till the pen is out of ink could refer to the pressure they feel to produce music and how hard it can be to be a musician. my question is who he is referring to as Andy. hmm |

Love this song! especially the first paragraph: Not even they can stop me now boy i be flying over head your heavy words cant bring me down boy ive been raised from the dead okay so i know this might sound weird but the way i see it i actually think that lana del rey is talking abt her fame when she says "ive finally found you" To me, she is singing this song about her experience as she became famous. she does say "now life is sweet like cinnamon" THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT! cinnamon is not sweeet! -contradictory language- but then she goes on to saying "like a fucking dream" anyways i think this song is about how happy she feels now that shes famous. |

I think the name of the song is brilliant. The way i think of it, mountain dew is unhealthy.
