I honestly think this song is about a relationship whose central problem is a disconnect in sexual priorities between the guy and girl. The girl in the song seems like she has a very cold personality ("She won’t smile"..."she's always cold"), But she seems to have an obsession with kinky sex: "She always wants more of my leather, and my fur, and my nails." A lot of the violent imagery ("she rips it off my back and puts it on her coat hook") seems to be sexually charged as well. The bridge seems to be an expression of the speaker's insecurity, perhaps sexual as well. |
